Logan Kolodejchuck rumbles for tough yards against Whitefish last week.

The Columbia Falls football team dominated both sides of the ball as they hammered Whitefish 42-0 away Friday night.

The Wildcats took awhile to get their offense going in the muddy conditions in Whitefish — the visitor side of Memorial Field had about four inches of solid mud — but once they did, it was lights out.

Braxton Reiten had a 28-yard catch from Dakota Bridwell to open the scoring late in the first quarter. Brandon Karberg added a field goal in the second quarter and Bridwell leapt into the end zone on a 10-yard run to make it 16-0 at the half.

Bridwell was 20 of 41 passing for 317 yards as the Cats racked up 510 yards of offense.

In the second half, it was all Columbia Falls. Logan Kolodejchuck, Sean Miller, Bridwell and Bryce Fagerland all had touchdowns against the Dogs. Kolodejchuck had his best game of the season, carrying the ball for 115 yards on 23 carries.

Defensively, the Cats were stellar once again. This game marked six straight quarters they have not allowed an opponent to score. They held Whitefish to 77 yards on offense.

The Cats are now 6-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. They travel to Polson (5-1) Friday night. The winner will determine the conference champion. Polson’s coming off a 43-7 walloping of Butte Central.
