| November 9, 2016 6:59 AM

In a night where Republicans ruled elections and Donald Trump won the presidency, incumbent Democrat House District 3 representative Zac Perry held on to beat GOP challenger Taylor Rose, 2,464 - 2,186. The district covers Columbia Falls and the Canyon.

Republicans won every other race in Flathead County, save for House District 5, which covers Whitefish, where Democrat Dave Fern defeated Chet Billi, 3,241-2,470.

Incumbent Republican Pam Holmquist won re-election handily over Democratic challenger Eileen Lowery, 31,066-14,036 in the county commissioner race.

Statewide, the race for governor wasn’t called until later in the morning by the Associated Press. Incumbent Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock was beating Republican challenger Greg Gianforte 235,175-222,621, with 542 of 686 precincts fully reporting and 144 partially reporting, according to the Montana Secretary of State office.

Here’s how all the votes stacked up in Flathead County.
