Floyd Edwin Ott, 91, of Columbia Falls, passed away on Oct. 15, 2016, at North Valley Hospital. He had resided at the Montana Veterans Home.
Floyd was born in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Emil and Elsie Ott on Jan. 30, 1925.
He served in the South Pacific while in the Army. Upon returning home, he married Betty Hovey on June 17, 1946. They were married for 70 years.
Floyd worked as an autobody repairman before moving to Montana. He worked for 35 years at Columbia Falls Aluminum Company.
He is survived by three children, Keith Ott, Carol Ott and Arthur Ott (Vickie), all of Columbia Falls; five grandchildren, Edward Ott (Ginger) of New York, Jerril Ren (Michelle) of Kalispell, Glenn Ott (Sandy) of Columbia Falls, Angela Ott (Vern) of Columbia Falls, and Michael Ott (Amber) of Florida; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; brothers Emil Jr. Ott of Columbia Falls, Glenn Ott, Richard Ott of Kalispell, and sister Judy of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Floyd was laid to rest on Oct. 22 at Woodlawn Cemetery, with a military graveside ceremony.
