Northwest Ballet Co. presents 'Alice in Wonderland'
Northwest Ballet Co.’s 36th annual spring show production, “Alice In Wonderland,” is coming to Bigfork over Mother’s Day weekend.
Performances are Saturday, May 7, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 8, at 4 p.m. at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.
Prior to even being on the stage, the performance has merged together the talents of a set artist from Bigfork, a photographer from Somers, a light designer from Lakeside, a head costume mistress from West Valley, a director from Creston, and dancers from as far apart as Coram and Bigfork and all the cities in between.
The dancers have come to delight in their own personal portrayals of Lewis Carroll’s curiously charming tale of peculiar characters in a wondrous land.
“I have a cast of 29 on stage and a crew of 16 behind the scenes who’ve worked passionately from the beginning on a truly fun and entertaining show for this Mother’s Day weekend,” said Director Marisa Roth. “We all inspire each other to be and do the best that we can in attaining the highest level of professionalism, and I believe that will be evident to all those who attend and witness the spectacular shows over the weekend.”
Tickets for reserved seating are available now until show days at the Northwest Ballet Co.’s exclusive ticket outlet, the Kalispell Grand Hotel, 100 Main Street, Kalispell, or by calling 406-755-8100. On May 7 and 8, tickets will only be available one hour before each performance at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts box office. Prices are $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and younger.
