LETTER: Critics of refugee letter need to face 2016 realities

This letter serves to express my disapproval of the writer who disapproved of the commissioners’ approval of a letter opposing refugee settlement in Flathead County.

The knee jerk response of “my ancestors arrived in this country” etc. is a reflection of a shallow view that is completely worn out and so void of mental exercise. But such a “This is the way it has always been” commentary is the typical leftist attitude. No thinking. All emotion.

Now is not the 1800s. Learn your history. The theocracy of Islam is one of conquer, kill and caliphate. Terror or join.

 Learn your arithmetic. The tax burden of feeding, housing, educating, giving jobs and cellphones (why not?) is unacceptable.

What’s reasonable? Refugee camps in the Middle East.

The commissioners used reason — 2016 reason, not the 1840s version.
