A man has pleaded guilty to his role in an Oct. 26, 2015, burglary spree in the Bigfork area.

William Jared Jones pleaded guilty to two felony counts of burglary in Flathead District Court on Tuesday before District Judge Amy Eddy.

Jones admitted on the witness stand that he participated in two of the burglaries of a home on Egan Slough and a Kalispell automotive repair business. He was not involved with stealing a truck and breaking into the Creston Business Center, though he said his three co-defendants did participate in those crimes.

It is recommended that Jones receive a five-year suspended sentence.

Prosecutor Andrew Clegg said the sentence is because Jones was not alone in his crime and was “fully compliant with law enforcement.”

Much of the stolen property was returned.

“There is very little restitution involved,” Clegg said.
