Lions Club concert series starts next week

The Columbia Falls Lions Club concert series kicks off next week. Folks looking for some old-time family friendly live music won’t be disappointed. Concerts are held in Marantette Park at the band shell a block south of U.S. Highway 2 beginning at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday night.

Here’s a rundown of the bands:  

June 23 - Don Lawrence Orchestra - Big Band Sounds.

June 30 - Potpourri - Several groups in one night.

July 7 - Cocinando - Flathead’s own Latin Jazz Band.

July 14 - Ashley Creek Ramblers - Best country sound around.

July 21 - Montana Midnite - Three guitars playing music from many different styles.

July 28 - Flathead Valley Community Band - 50 instrumentalist playing medleys and marches.

Aug 4 - Columbia Falls Community Choir - This concert will be held at St. Richard’s Catholic Church.

Aug 11 - Don Lawrence Orchestra Encore Concert - honoring requests from the first Concert. 

Admission fee is a donation of $3 per person or $5 per family. Bring a lawn chair, blanket, a picnic and enjoy an evening of wonderful music.
