Bigfork to host Brewfest
The town of Bigfork is getting ready for the seventh annual Bigfork Brewfest on Saturday, March 5, and has a fun-filled weekend planned for the whole family.
The 20th annual “Spam-O-Rama” is at the Garden Bar at 2 p.m. It’s a family-friendly event of Spam carving; get creative and bring your own tools.
The Bigfork Brewfest is from 3 to 7 p.m. in the streets of Bigfork, with live music by Aaron Fetveit and Tommy Edwards, otherwise known as Man and the Box. This event is outdoors, so people are encouraged to dress warmly.
Breweries from all over Montana will be represented. Tickets are $25 and will include a mug and tasting tickets. Tickets are $5 for non-beer drinkers; food and wine will be available for purchase. Free buses will be running from Whitefish, Columbia Falls and Kalispell (bus schedules can be found at www.BigforkBrewfest.com).
All are welcome to attend, but you must be 21 or older for beer tasting. Food trucks will be inside the festival and free pop or coffee will be available for designated drivers. Proceeds from this year’s Brewfest will benefit the ACES afterschool program, the North Shore Nordic Club, the Bigfork Food Bank and the Crown of The Continent Guitar Foundation.
Brewfest is sponsored in part by the Bigfork Mountaineer Outdoor Store, the Garden Bar, the Bigfork Chamber, Flathead Beverage and all the wonderful participating breweries.
