Fishing derby canceled, raffle drawing at Hungry Horse VFW

The 17th annual Lion Lake Fishing Derby was canceled, but the raffle drawing will still go on at the VFW Hall in Hungry Horse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27. The drawing is for an eight-foot creek pontoon boat with oars donated by Snappy’s Sports Senter. Raffle tickets are $1 each and available at Dam Town Tavern, Zip Trip, Hungry Horse Liquor Store, The Deer Lick, Southfork Saloon, Packer’s Roost, Glacier Center Cenex and The Dew Drop Inn. Proceeds benefit the Canyon Kid’s Christmas Fund. There’ll also be games and prizes for kids. A boy’s and a girl’s bicycle will be given away. An auction will follow at The Dew Drop Inn at about 5:30 p.m.
