MatCats get past Broncs

Columbia Falls squeaked past Frenchtown in a Northwest A conference dual last Tuesday on the road.

The MatCats were up by just 30-26 heading into the final match between Winfield West (120) and Zach Blanchard, when West won by a 9-3 decision to preserve the victory for the Cats.

Also winning for the Cats was Ayden Role (126), Brandon Thomas (138), Colton McPhee (160), Storm Kemppainen (170) Jake Freeman (182) and Kyler Koski (Heavyweight).

But the Cats gave up two pins and two major decisions. The team is back in action at the Western Montana duals in Ronan Jan. 6-7.
