The struggles continue.

The Columbia Falls boys basketball team kept it close for a half, but ended up getting blown out by Bigfork at home last Thursday, 65-51.

Bigfork went up 21-13 in the first quarter, but the Cats battled back to cut the lead to four late in the first half and were down just six at the break. But they had a rough third quarter, scoring just four points while Bigfork notched 18.

The Cats would score 20 in the fourth, but by then it was too late.

Matthew Morrison led the squad with 15, but he got into foul trouble in the second half, which led to the Cats undoing.

The boys (1-5) face Libby and Polson on the road Jan. 6 and 7 after Christmas break.
