Swim teams take fifth at Missoula Invite

The Columbia Falls swim teams did well at the Missoula Invitational Saturday. Both the boys and girls teams took fifth.

The girls were sixth in the 200 freestyle relay, with a time of 2:11.19.

On the boys side, Colton Babcock won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.33 and was second in the 100 breaststroke with a 59.02, besting his school record. It was the first time Babcock was under the 1-minute mark.

Riker Foster was sixth in the 200 free with a 2:30.36. Russell Albin took sixth in the 500 freestyle with a 6:41.04.

In the 100 backstroke Sam Pierce was fourth with a 1:13.80 and Kaleb Bagley was fifth with a 1:18.67. The squad is off for Christmas break and then back in action Jan. 7 in Kalispell. Races start at 11 a.m. at the Summit
