Columbia Falls grapplers do well at Mining City duals

The Columbia Falls wrestling squad had a solid week of wrestling.

At the Mining City duals they made it to the quarterfinals, but fell short to Flathead 58-9.

Austin Nelson (113) got the lone win for the Cats, winning by technical fall over Bryce Shaffer.

On Friday, the MatCats lost to Havre, 42-24, but beat Hellgate 54-9 and Billings West 46-23.

Complete results from Butte were unavailable.

On Thursday, the squad dropped Dillon in a dual, 50-15.

Heavyweight Kyler Koski, Austin Nelson (113), Ayden Role (126), Hunter Peterson (132), Ben Windauer (145), Colton McPhee (160) and Jacob Freeman all had wins over the Beavers.

The team travels to Browning Thursday and then to the Holiday Invitational in Great Falls Friday and Saturday.
