The Deadication Festival will come to Columbia Falls Aug. 27 with a host of cool bands and even a little yoga in between. The one-day event will be held in Marantette Park from noon to 9 p.m.

The festival promotes a family-friendly atmosphere while supporting local businesses and musicians.

Gates are scheduled to open at noon and performances begin at 1 p.m.

Scheduled performers are Brad Parsons, The Watters, Gispy Moon, Cure for the Common, and Fruition, in that order. There is a scheduled yoga break between the set by The Watters and Gispy Moon and another between Gispy Moon and Cure for the Common. These 30-minute yoga “tweener” classes will be taught by Lauren K. Walker. Following Cure for the Common’s set is a raffle.

The final performance, by Fruition, begins at 7 p.m and will finish at 9 p.m, when the festival closes.

This year’s vendors include Wrap and Roll, Pig & Olive, Saucy Dogs, and Whitefish Hostel Cafe for food. Stonefly/Chamber Bar, Bubble Tea, Glacier Shaved Ice and Cowgirl Coffee will be offering beverages.

Other vendors include On U Designs, Hippi Hut, Younique, Local Lifestyle, Get a Grip, Tree of Life, the Mischief Collective, DyeDreams, Raye Works, and Emily Torch, offering jewelry, clothing, candles, woodwork, and other goods.
