Wildkats throttle Stevensville, now 5-1

The Columbia Falls softball team is now 5-1 on the season after beating Stevensville 7-0 in a nonconference game at home Saturday.

Pitchers Taylar Putnam and KJ Schweikert combined for a no-hitter in the win and Samantha Collins hit a triple and had an RBI. Lottie Ellis had two RBIs and Sydney Hovde had one RBI in the victory.

The Wildkats game against Frenchtown Thursday was rained out and is re-scheduled for May 10 at home. Game time is 5:30 p.m. 

The Wildkats travel to Polson Thursday for a key conference matchup and then travel south to play Corvallis and Stevi Saturday.
