The 14th annual Cowabunga Variety Show fundraiser presented by Bigfork Playhouse Children’s Theatre and Bigfork ACES after-school program will be at the Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Bigfork on April 15-17. In past years this event has raised more than $10,000, with proceeds being used for special projects such as the Children’s Theatre and ACES building getting a new roof, a fresh coat of paint inside and out and new flooring.

Audiences are invited to enjoy music, dance and humorous acts from local talent of all ages. Come on out and support the village! This year’s theme, “Moovies and Musicows,” will feature a Tonight Show feel with hilarious high school teacher Charlie Appleby as host. Special guests are scheduled and the on-stage band will keep people entertained between acts.

Shows will be Friday, April 15, and Saturday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m.

Tickets for all shows are $10 for adults, and $6 for children and students. Tickets are available for advance purchase at Electric Avenue Gifts (406-837-4994), Bigfork Drug (406-837-4370), Bigfork Elementary School (406-837-7412), ACES after school program (406-837-5437) and online at www.bigforksummerplayhouse.com.

Cathy Hay, program director for Bigfork ACES, said that the after-school program has been in existence since 2013 after receiving a five-year federally funded grant through the department of education. Bigfork ACES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For more information about the Bigfork ACES programs, contact Hay at 406-249-9598, bigforkaces@gmail.com or visit www.acesafterschool.com.
