Input sought for major conservation easements

 The public is invited to attend meetings with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and landowners for the Kootenai Valleys, Swan Valley, and Thompson and Fisher River conservation easements. 

Combined easement acreage is approximately 186,500 acres. The meeting for the Kootenai Valleys conservation easement (28,000 acres) near Troy is scheduled for 1– 3 p.m., Oct. 28, 2015, in the Ponderosa Room at Libby City Hall, 952 E. Spruce Street. The meeting for the Swan Valley conservation easement north of Condon (16,500 acres) is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., October 29, 2015, at the Swan River State Forest office at Goat Creek, 34925 MT Highway 83, Swan Lake, MT. The meeting for the Thompson and Fisher River conservation easement (142,000 acres) west of Kalispell is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on November 4, 2015, at the FWP Region One Headquarters at 490 North Meridian Road, Kalispell, MT. Liaison Team meetings are required annually by the conservation easement and provide a forum for discussion of any issues that may arise with respect to public use, land use, access issues, conditions, or other unanticipated issues related to the conservation easement lands.
