Alcohol a factor in fatal rollover
A 29-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were ejected from a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe after it rolled on Highway 206 near Kelley Road early in the morning on May 14.
Loretta Brown, of Kalispell was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. The man suffered injuries and was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center.
The Montana Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene around 5:20 a.m. Trooper David Mills said the SUV was found upside-down some distance from the roadway. The vehicle was traveling fast and rolled multiple times.
“Both were ejected,” Mills said. “Neither was wearing their seat belts.”
Mills said alcohol was a factor in the crash, but officials were investigating the incident and trying to determine who was driving.
