Stageline Pizza in Columbia Falls has new owners. David and Carrie Osborne recently purchased the business from Bill Cayford, who owned it for 24 years.

Carrie previously worked as a receptionist at Meadow Lake Resort for eight years, and David works at the Plum Creek sawmill.

Their son Cody also works at the restaurant. He has a background in food service and worked at several different establishments over the years.

“We’ve always wanted to own a business,” Carrie said last week.

Cayford trained them for about a month on the ins and outs of the pizza making trade. The Osbornes already have made some changes, including expanding business hours from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday to accommodate the lunch crowd. They’re open from 4 to 10 p.m. on weekends. They also plan on selling pizza by the slice soon.

The Osbornes say business averages about 35 pizzas a day, and about double that on the weekends.

They also offer salads, pasta bakes, bread sticks, calzones, chicken wings and other food.

Stageline Pizza has seven employees, not including the Osbornes. The business is primarily take-out and delivery — the restaurant has only one table inside. They offer free delivery within five miles of town.

Carrie said the key to good food is fresh ingredients.

“Everything is made fresh every day,” she said.
