Kreck Riverwalk Trail dispute

Mark and Inge Cahill have posted no trespassing signs where the Kreck Riverwalk Trail runs across a small piece of land that the Cahills claim is theirs.

The Columbia Falls City Council recently approved spending $3,200 to resurvey the small parcel of land as a first step toward taking possession of the property and keeping the trail open from the Red Bridge to the Cedar Pointe subdivision.

Most the trail runs across the Cahills’ property on a 450-foot long easement granted to the city by the late Loren Kreck in 2007.
