The National Weather Service is predicting rain and cooler temperatures over the Reynolds Creek Fire in Glacier National Park late Sunday into Monday.

A low pressure system with origins in the Gulf of Alaska is expected to drop down over the Northern Rockies with a good chance of rain, especially on Monday.

Computer models are suggesting the region could see upwards .3 to .5 inches of rain, Chris Zelzer, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Great Falls said Friday.

The fire will also see colder temperatures and higher relative humidity starting Sunday. Monday could see high temperatures in the 50s and 60s and the snow level could drop to about 8,000 to 8,500 feet with the passing front. But the weather could prove challenging today as the day progresses. There is a red flag warning up for high winds and warm temperatures over the fire again today.
