Swim team takes fifth

The Columbia Falls swim team took fifth at its meet in Chester last week.

Sadie Cheff had a good meet, taking second in points for girls eight and under. Cheff won the 100 intermediate medley, with a time of 2:15.44. She also won the 25 breast stroke with a 28.66. Her brother, Connor Cheff, won the 200 IM with a time of 3:52.39.

Avery Role was third in girls eight and under points as was Zane McCallum in the boys 9-10 age group. He won the 50 back stroke with a 44.95.

The girls eight and under squad won the 100 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:35.78. The relay team is Madison Moultray, Alexis Gladeau, Role and Campbell Fox. The girls also won the 100 medley relay with a 1:46.47. Fox won the 50 butterfly with a 26.11.

"All 33 kids placed in at least one event and received a ribbon," coach Mike Nelson said.
