Park holds Instameets

Glacier National Park is hosting a new "Instameets" program where participants go on a hike and then are encouraged to share their photos on social media like Twitter and Instagram using #Glacier NPS. The hikes are all short, but scenic.

The walks have already started, but they continue through this month into July. Here's a schedule:

Meet at the Two Medicine Lake boat dock.

St. Mary Waterfalls Photo Hike

Thursday July 16, 8 a.m.

Three hours, 1.6 miles (2.6 km) 260 ft elevation

Meet at the St. Mary Falls shuttle Stop. Shuttle available from St. Mary visitor center or Rising Sun campground.

Lake McDonald Sunset InstaMeet Thursday July 23, 8 p.m.

Meet at the Apgar Village public boat launch and dock.

Highline Trail Photo Hike

Thursday July 30, 8:00 am

Three hours, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) 200 feet elevation change

Meet in the Logan Pass parking lot.
