Randy Beach has been collecting items for the past six years with the plan that he would open a store. He opened 406 Northern Finds on Nucleus Avenue with his wife, Ruby, in May. The store is caddy corner to the post office and next to the video store.

They sell new and used antiques, household items, tools, jewelry and collectibles.

If they do not have an item that a customer wants, "we will find it," owner Randy said. They will also negotiate prices.

"We want to keep prices low," Ruby said. "We want to help the locals."

The most popular item so far is tools, but it really depends on the customer.

"We used to have a bunch of Kiss magnets, someone came in and bought them all," Randy said. "Same thing with Rolling Stones."

He previously sold items exclusively on Facebook and Craigslist, but he has too many items.

It's easier to send customers from the Internet to a storefront, he said.

They spent two months getting the store set up and still have several storage units full of items. The couple both work at School District 6 as well.

Store hours are 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
