George Cada

| January 30, 2015 7:58 AM

George Wayne Cada, 70, passed away Jan. 25, 2015, at Mountain View Care Center in Bozeman, where he had been a resident for the last three years.

He was born to John and Carolyn Cada in Bremerton, Wash., on Dec. 17, 1944. His father worked at the shipyards during the war. Shortly after, the family, including his two older brothers, Frank and John, moved to Columbia Falls. The family owned a small grocery store outside of town where all the boys worked as store clerks.

George was intellectually challenged which resulted in him not “fitting in” with most of the children in those days. Despite the fact that he was the sport of some, George never complained or disliked anyone. There were a few like Stuart Sorensen who befriended George and shared time with him.

George lived with his parents until their passing and then moved into an apartment in Kalispell and then to Mountain View Care Center in Bozeman in 2011.

He is survived by his brothers Frank and John and their wives Virginia and Dorothy; nieces Jody and Chryss Cada; and other cousins and family.

His ashes will be buried with his parents and still-born sister in Eureka.
