Britnney Amos recently presented her research project on “Pandemics and People” in the Flathead Valley Community College’s honors program.

Amos, a 2015 Bigfork High School graduate studied how terrorist threats could come in the form of biological weapons.

Her presentation recently at FVCC looked at how water, soil, crops and animals could be targeted. “We found that it may  not be as difficult as we thought” to execute biological terrorism plan, she said. Amos is the only Bigfork student at the college’s honors program this year. She received several scholarships to attend college, although students in the honors in program receive a two-semester tuition waiver. Amos plans to continue her education in the FVCC nursing program.
