Glacier National Park assistant superintendent Kym Hall has taken a new position. Hall is now the superintendent of Colonial National Historic Park in Virginia, the Virginia Gazette reported last week.

Hall came to Glacier Park in October 2011. Prior to that, she was superintendent of three small national park sites in southeastern Arizona — Coronado National Memorial, Chiricahua National Monument, and Fort Bowie National Historic Site.

She began her Park Service career at Olympic National Park in Washington. After a variety of positions, including dispatcher and paralegal, Hall took a position at the National Park Service headquarters in Washington, D.C., where she worked on regulations across the country.

Hall was actively involved in the first winter-use regulations at Yellowstone National Park, personal watercraft regulations across the U.S., and off-road vehicle regulations in many national park units.

Last summer, Hall left Glacier Park to serve temporarily as acting superintendent of Cape Hatteras National Seashore and the Outer Banks Group in North Carolina.
