Maxine Ford

Maxine Marie Ford, 75, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, April 17, 2015.

She was born on April 12, 1940, in Fort Peck to Everett and Margaret Eyre. She was one of five children.

She lived throughout different parts of Montana until meeting her husband of 54 years in Whitefish.

She married Oren Ford on April 4, 1959. They lived in the Kalispell area for a year before settling on the family farm. Together they raised five children. She was known for her beautiful embroidery work and ceramics, her love of flowers and the color purple.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Arvin Eyre and her husband.

She is survived by her brothers Kenny Eyre, of Kalispell, and Wayne Eyre and his wife Robin, of Missoula; sister Lorene Mateo and her husband Paul, of Prosser, Wash.; sons Oren “Joe” Ford and his wife Tana, of Colstrip, David Ford and his wife Vicky, of Dillon, Ronald Ford, of Butte, and Kenny Ford, of Columbia Falls; daughter Beth Burns and her husband David, of Pablo; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Tuesday, April 21, at 1 p.m.
