Phyllis Schroeder

Phyllis Irene Schroeder, 90, passed away April 1, 2015, in Whitefish due to complications with diabetes and infections.

She was born on July 14, 1924 in Casper, Wyo.

She married Lawrence “Larry” Gordon Schroeder on Sept. 11, 1953. The Schroeders moved to Whitefish after retirement, where they built their home and enjoyed life, the outdoors and family and friends.

Phyllis was a loving mother and a focal point for all the relatives to keep in touch with each other. She was a beautiful person who always cared for people and all living things. She had many talents, including arts of painting, drawing, sewing, crafts, flower arranging, stained glass, playing the organ, piano and guitar.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Bertha (Osborn) Cain, her son William Snyder and her sister Pauline Annis.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Lawrence “Larry” Schroeder; brothers Robert and Roger Cain; sister Ann Weenig; sons Joseph Snyder and John Schroeder; daughters Susan Schroeder Smith and Sandra Broughton; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren, with two more on the way.

Memorial services were held at First Presbyterian Church, in Whitefish, on April 6, 2015.
