Spectators at Saturday’s soccer and football playoff games in Columbia Falls should expect a shower or two. The National Weather Service in Missoula forecasts some rain on Saturday during the day, but the heaviest precipitation is expected overnight on Saturday and into Sunday.

Snow levels will drop to 4,000 feet by Saturday night, NWS forecasts, which could make for slick travel over mountain passes. Most of the snow is expected to stay south of the Flathead, but higher elevations could see several inches to as much as half a foot of snow.

The wet pattern will continue through Sunday and into next week, with a chance of rain and snow every day, with highs in the 30s and 40s.
