Lee Heath

| October 7, 2014 7:03 AM

Lee Heath, 89, “passed through the gates of Heaven” on Sept. 25, 2014.

He loved the Lord and he loved life. He loved everyone he met and they loved him. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and music. He played guitar and sang in many of the clubs, churches, nursing homes and senior centers in the Flathead Valley from 1968 to 2014. He wrote many poems and songs.

As a lad, he lived on a ranch in Texas and hoboed back and forth from Texas to Tennessee. He had a hard life as a child; times were bad. He had great stories to tell.

Lee served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, fighting in the Pacific, and also served in the Army Air Force until 1952.

He was a jack-of-all-trades and spent most of the years as an electrician in aircraft, missiles and at the Anaconda Aluminum Co. plant.

Lee was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother Anne; father Charles; brothers Carl, Charles and Jay; and many other loved ones.

Lee is survived by Loretta, his wife of 59 years; five children, Pat, Marilyn, Carol, Chuck and Charlotte; 15 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; one brother, Elmer; and many other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at Easthaven Baptist Church, 2010 Whitefish Stage Road, in Kalispell, on Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. A potluck reception will follow. People are asked to bring a dish, and everyone is welcome.
