Betty Jeffries

Betty May Bullock Jeffries, 88, died May 12, 2014.

She was born Feb. 3, 1926, to Andy J. and Ivy May Crane Bullock in Hamilton, the oldest of seven siblings.

She married Fred Chilton on Nov. 25, 1944, and they later divorced.  

She married Charlie Jeffries on Dec. 1, 1948. He died in 1983.

Preceding Betty in death were her husband Charlie; son Gene; grandchildren Kimmi Lance, Charlie Jeffries and Robert Jeffries; her parents; three sisters; and a brother.

Betty is survived by four children, Mary and Ric Lance, of Columbia Falls, Charles Jeffries, of Whitefish, Shirley and John Hegel, of Columbia Falls, and Andy Jeffries, of Kalispell;  sisters Doris McKay, of California, and Cherry Daves, of Texas; grandchildren Rikki and John Perkins, Conni and Curt Weber, Mark Jeffries, Sue Ann and Keith Pugh, Brandy and Greg Jeffries, Michelle Jasperson, Heather Jeffries, Pamela and Jason Pilcher, and Rachelle Meek; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

A family memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2014,  at 6 p.m.

Memorials may be made to any anti-smoking charity of the donor’s choice.
