Questions Daines

| May 8, 2014 7:30 AM

It is unconscionable that when Sen. John Walsh tried to pass by unanimous consent in the U.S. Senate a bill protecting the North Fork of the Flathead River from mineral development, Rep. Steve Daines, when asked to help the bill by talking to the three Tea Party senators, Ted Cruz, Pat Toomey and Tom Coburn, asked why Senate Democratic leaders couldn’t have brought the bill to the floor for a regular vote, avoiding the need for a unanimous consent.

Then Daines bragged that he got his version of the North Fork bill passed in the House because he wants to get it done for the people of Montana.

In my opinion, he could care less about Montana and the people of Montana. Here was the perfect opportunity for him to work with Sen. Walsh and get this North Fork thing passed and done.

Daines has said he wants to work with the rest of the Montana congressional delegation, and here was his chance and he totally blew it and showed he was unfit to be either Montana’s congressman, or certainly in no way does he deserve to be our U.S. senator.

In my opinion, Steve Daines only cares about himself, not Montana or Montana people. Make no mistake, he is totally a Tea Party Republican, and he is told what to say every time he opens his mouth.

Please do not elect him as our U.S. senator. He will be the worst disaster ever.
