The 11th annual Yellow Bay Cherry Blossom Festival will take place at the Yellow Bay Community Clubhouse on Highway 35 on Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival is free and open to the public.

This year’s event includes more than 30 artisans and crafters offering an array of locally produced items, including outdoor and indoor décor, soaps and skin care, photography, jewelry, artwork in various mediums, felted birds, beadwork, women’s accessories, jams and jellies. There will also be assorted cherry-themed items, including t-shirts and caps.

The festival celebrates the cherry blossoms that traditionally bloom in May and serves as a major fundraiser for the Yellow Bay Community Club, a social club serving residents all along the east shore of Flathead Lake.

The club’s activities include potluck dinners from September through May, the support of local charities, which include Christmas gifts for residents of the Lake View Care Center, monetary gifts to children’s programs and local food banks, and assisting with neighborhood needs that come to the attention of the organization.
