Local students recognized for college achievements

The following Montana students have been named to Montana State University honor rolls for spring semester 2014.

There are two MSU honor roll lists: the President’s and the Dean’s Honor Roll. Students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours to be on either list.

Students with a perfect 4.0 grade point average for the semester were named to the President’s Honor Roll. An asterisk follows the names of the students named to the MSU President’s Honor Roll in the listing below. The Dean’s Honor Roll includes the students earning grade point averages of 3.5 or above for the semester.

In other college news, Bridger Mahlum graduated from Wake Forest University in May. Mahlum was a 2010 graduate of Bigfork High School. His parents are Doug and Nancy Mahlum, also of Bigfork.

Mahlum holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and International Affairs, with a minor in Entrepreneurship in Global Trade and Commerce. He has been nominated to Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.  Bridger received the prestigious Carl Moses Award for Research in Politics and International Affairs at the May Honors Convocation at Wake Forest. He ?currently ?employed as an election consultant for the re-election campaign of Mark Begich, the Senator from Alaska.
