Coming from a blue-collar family in Northwest Montana and as a conservative, job creation via natural resource development is a top priority for me.

Many think because I am a conservative and a young man that I would be gung ho for Republican Ryan Zinke for Congress and I am not. In fact, I am an open supporter of Democrat John Lewis for Congress.

Zinke is touting a very pro-job creation position that revolves around making American “energy independent,” yet he has routinely flipped-flopped on what his actual positions are on resource development.

It wasn’t until he was out of the Montana state legislature and began working for Halliburton and STWA’s Applied Oil Technology that he became much more pro-industry and resource development. Sounds more like opportunism than patriotism to me.

John Lewis might be from the Baucus machine, but it was with that Baucus machine that Montana had influence in the legislative branch, and Baucus helped protect jobs in Montana.

John Lewis is of that tradition, and it is a tradition that I and thousands of Montanans are proud of. I would rather have that in Congress, than just another RINO/neo-con who says one thing and does another.
