Karol Knowles

Karol Elaine Knowles, 59, of Browning, daughter of Thelma and Wilbur Gulbranson and mother of Jeremy Erickson, passed away on July 6, 2014, at Providence St. Vincent’s Hospital in Portland, Ore.

Karol attended high school in Montana and lived in Essex and Columbia Falls and attended college in Kalispell. After college, Karol moved to Portland where she worked at the Indian Health Services Center for more than 25 years. Karol spent the last five years living in Portland close to her son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Kathy.

She is survived by her son Jeremy Erickson and his wife Kathy; oldest sister Linda Street; brothers Russ and Charles Gulbranson; and youngest sister Corrine Gulbranson.

Services for Karol will be held at Columbia Mortuary on Saturday, July 19, with viewing at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
