Dale Clothier

Dale Kenneth Clothier, 59, passed away Jan. 19, 2014, in Apache Junction, Ariz.

He was born Sept. 22, 1954, in Kalispell. Dale moved to Apache Junction in the early 1990s and spent several years there before returning to Marion where he bought a home on Bitterroot Lake.

Dale and his wife Betty moved back to Apache Junction in 2010. He enjoyed fishing, camping along the river and hunting in Alaska. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Dale was a painter all of his life, a trade he learned from his good friend Ray Limbach. He started his own business in Kalispell, “Inline Painting,” along with his partner and good friend Matt Stickney.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Keny and Faye Clothier, of Kalispell.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his daughter, Crystal Clothier of Salt Lake City; his sister, Bonnie Clothier of Kalispell; his brother, Ricky Clothier and wife, Barb, of Clovis, Calif.; his sister, Janet Tyree and husband, Bud, of Columbia Falls; stepson, David Wood and wife, Robin, of Juneau, Alaska; niece, Nichole Fenger; and nephew, Toby Gilchrist.

A celebration of Dale’s life was held at the V.F.W. in Apache Junction on Saturday, Jan. 25.

A celebration of Dale’s life will be held in Marion at a later date.
