Agencies such as the Bad Rock Volunteer Fire and QRU Department are fortunate to have reliable people who give selflessly of their time and energy to provide needed services to their communities.

This year, our Annual Awards Banquet was held at the Red Lion Inn Restaurant. We take this opportunity every year to recognize members who stand out in the number of calls responded to, training and meeting attendance, and overall service. This year’s awards went to:

Joe Testa — most fires responded to

Nick Toavs — most fire training meetings

Michelle Albin — most EMS calls

Darla Katzenmeyer — most EMS meetings

Will Wymer — Fire Fighter of the Year

While only a few members receive an award, it truly requires the efforts of all to make our department run smoothly. Each person is appreciated; each person is part of the team.
