Delores Lampman

Delores May “Dolly” Lampman, 86, passed away peacefully at Brendan House in Kalispell on Feb. 23, 2014, surrounded by family.

She was born on May 1, 1927, to Robert and Mary (Reinbold) Landwehr in Elbowoods, N.D.

At the age of 9, Dolly moved with her family to Kalispell. Following graduation from Flathead County High School, she met and married Clayton Lampman. She and Clayton became the parents of four children.

After living several years in Washington and Idaho, Dolly returned to Kalispell with her children in order to be closer to her parents and siblings. Family was an extremely important part of Dolly’s life. Spending time in Glacier National Park, Fairmont Hot Springs and at the local lakes with family were good times remembered by all.

She is survived by her sister Eleanor Hedstrom; three daughters, Virginia Olsen and husband Bill, Beverly McGuire, and Sandra Absalonson and husband Mike; son Mark Lampman and wife Cindy; grandchildren, Shelley Howell, Jeff McGuire, Heather and Mike Arlint, Tina and Mark Hixson, Ryan and Lemi Absalonson, Kirk and Keely Absalonson, Ashley and Jeremy Matsui, Amber and Daniel Byrd, and Allie Lampman; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

A viewing for Dolly will take place at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home, in Kalispell, on Thursday, Feb. 27, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. A rosary will follow at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass for Delores will take place at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, in Kalispell, on Friday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m.
