Floretta Brook

Floretta Jean Brook, 74, passed away Feb. 17, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

She was born on July 29, 1939, in Hill City, Minn., to Maurice Eugene and Nethalee Floretta (James) Martin.

Floretta moved with her family in 1947 to Seeley Lake were she received her early education. They then moved to the Flathead Valley where she graduated from Columbia Falls High School.

She married Berle Buck in 1957 and they were later divorced.

Floretta worked in the restaurant industry most of her life and spent many of those years at the Old River Bridge Inn in Columbia Falls. In 1979, she married James Brook.

She was preceded in death by her husband James; her parents; and two sisters, Pat Blood and Tawny Martin.

She is survived by two sons, Frosty Buck and wife Colleen, and Lowell Buck and wife Nancy; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six brothers, Orley, Butch, Terry, Len, Wes and Chuck Martin; and eight sisters, Barb Spencer, Delores Funk, Carol Clayton, Bonnie Macioroski, Judy Trent, Connie Martin, Della Gann and Penny Rowsey.

A celebration of Floretta’s life will be held in the Columbia Falls Junior High School cafeteria on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at 2 p.m.
