The Bus Driver Tour band, which plays each year at the Fourth Of July celebration in Polebridge, will be in the Canyon for Cabin Fever Days this year.

The popular touring band will play at the Stonefly Lounge in Coram on Sunday, Feb. 16, starting at 1 p.m. They will also play at the Blue Moon Nite Club in Columbia Falls on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 14-15, starting at 9:30 p.m.

The Bus Driver Tour formed in spring 2011 comprised of songwriters Ian Thomas, Paul Lee Kupfer and Danny Freund. The three met a few years earlier while touring in Montana. They traveled well together and gained mutual respect for each other as songwriters.

The band has included Freund, who’s played with The 7 Smart Fellers and The Polebridge Electric Company; Thomas, who’s shared the stage with Taj Mahal, Dr. John and numerous others; Kupfer, who’s played across the U.S. both solo and as a band leader; Cornelia Overton, who’s well-versed in old-time and classical fiddle; Josh Oliver, the band’s front man, lead guitarist and pianist; and Bill Alexander, AKA the Appalachian Hippie Poet.

Currently, the band calls Livingston and Knoxville, Tenn. home. For more information and to hear some tunes or see some videos, visit online at http://thebusdrivertour.com or facebook.com/thebusdrivertour.
