Theresa E. LaValley 80, passed away Dec. 22, 2014, of natural causes at the Heritage Place in Kalispell.

She was born in Glendive to Pearl and Valentine Reinholz on Aug. 29, 1934.

Theresa had a full life. She moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, in the late 1960s and worked at the Fort Wainwright Army base in the mess hall. She moved to Columbia Falls in 1973 and it has been her home ever since.

Theresa was a very talented lady. She crocheted beautiful afghans, dolls, slippers and many other splendid things. She always had a least three or four projects going at any given time.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. If it didn't go in the freezer, it went in a jar. She had a big garden down by the well house, full of all the wonderful things summer brings. She would can everything, so she would have it when winter set in. She would make everything, from canned green beans, to jellies, to her own syrup for her pancakes. Theresa would cook for two to a crowd, and also cooked for hunting camp over an open fire.

Theresa was preceeded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her companion Bill; brother Valentine Reinholz; daughter Linda Hawkins; daughter Lila McCumbers and husband Lee; son Lyle Holler Jr. and wife Dee; beloved friends Cal and Debbie Westphal, and Raymond and Marcy Westphal; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many other friends and family she loved and cared for. Theresa will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
