A letter to President Obama

| December 23, 2014 11:36 AM

Now that we’re in a “free a prisoner” mode, how can we forget a true hero, not only of the U.S.A. but of the world?

This man is Dr. Shakil Afridi. He has done so much in the finding and killing of the worst of the worst — Osama bin Laden.

For this, he is imprisoned for treason in Pakistan. There is no telling how many lives Dr. Afridi may have saved by this act.

He gave up so much — family, home and a successful medical career. This honorable man must not be left behind. There was a multi-million dollar bounty on bin Laden’s head. Dr. Afridi should be freed, presented this bounty, and he and his family should be offered a safe retreat in this country free from reprisal in Pakistan.

Dr. Afridi should also be made the next candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize. We cannot leave a true hero behind. For the love of God and country.
