Some good news

| December 19, 2014 1:38 PM

Here’s some good news: Many good citizens of the Flathead Valley who are customers of Flathead Electric Cooperative allow their monthly bills to be rounded up to the nearest dollar.

That small but important donation each month from many hundreds of customers generates a considerable fund for FEC’s Roundup for Safety program. Each year this program supports important safety upgrades for many deserving community service organizations all over the Valley.

We want to thank FEC and Roundup for Safety for granting us the funds to replace and repair damaged and dangerous sidewalks and a handicapped ramp at the Museum at Central School in Kalispell.

People had been tripping and falling, and having difficulty using the ramp and adjacent sidewalks that had heaved and cracked over many Montana winters. Now it is all new concrete, smooth and safe, thanks to the Roundup for Safety program, and all the good folks who support it.

Thanks so much Flathead Valley. We appreciate it.
