Donna Sutton

Donna L. Sutton, 82, a longtime resident of the Flathead Valley, passed away Nov. 27, 2014. Although her body was failing, her mind was sharp and witty until the end.

She was born in Fremont, Ohio, in 1932, the fourth of five sisters. Her two surviving sisters are Ruth Keels of Fremont, and Jeanne Hayes of Clyde, Ohio. Donna was married to Shirly Sutton, who preceded her in death.

Donna pursued a lifelong love of writing short stories and poetry and was noted in several literary publications.

Daughter Wendy McMillan preceded her in death.

She is survived by daughters Barbara Dornfeld of Billings, Claudia Minster of St. Louis, Regina Adams of Kalispell, Terri Weber of Evergreen, and Sandi Pyles of Martin City; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

A memorial celebration is being planned for the summer at Ashley Lake, where Donna and Shirly spent many hours enjoying the scenery, fishing and family.
