Girls soccer keeps on winning
The Lady Bulldogs soccer team kept on rolling last week with a pair of impressive conference wins to protect their unblemished Northwestern A record.
Whitefish (5-1, 3-0) edged rival Columbia Falls on the road Thursday when Haley Nicholson put in a goal in the 79th minute for the 3-2 victory.
Anna Peterson tallied the equalizer in the 69th minute off an assist from Nicholson in the tight battle.
On Saturday, Whitefish dominated Bigfork from the start.
Nicholson and Peterson each tallied two goals to boost Whitefish to a 6-1 win.
Jess Baldonado hit the net in the 31st minute and Becca Holdhusen tallied in the 66th minute to round out the scoring.
Nicholson leads the team in scoring this season with 10 goals and three assists. Peterson has four goals and three assists, and Baldanado has three goals and one assist.
Whitefish played at Polson on Tuesday, then hosts Stevensville on Saturday at noon.
