Police calls: String of thefts from vehicles reported Sunday

Monday, Sept. 2

10:35 a.m. A woman on Scott Avenue told police her neighbor was saying not nice things about her.

2:40 p.m. A guest at a hotel was escorted from the premise after threatening to burn the place down. He later returned and put a hole in the wall, bent a screen and cracked a door frame.

7:34 p.m. Three suspicious kids rang a Copperwood Court resident’s doorbell and asked for some water.

9:54 p.m. Report of someone in a Subaru lighting stuff on fire on Texas Avenue.

Tuesday, Sept. 3

1:04 p.m. Report of a stolen wallet on Baker Avenue.

2:05 p.m. A woman’s computer contracted a virus after she watched a porn movie Kim Kardashian made with Ray J. She told police the computer locked up after viewing the movie earlier in the day. She was advised to take the computer in for service.

9:01 p.m. Report of an intoxicated man crying outside of a pizza place on Central Avenue.

11:34 p.m. A California woman at the hospital said she had nowhere to stay for the night. Employees weren’t sure where to send her.

Wednesday, Sept. 4

10:51 a.m. A drill and drill charger were found at a transient camp on Arielle Way.

9:23 p.m. Report of fireworks on Colorado Avenue.

10:18 p.m. A resident at a downtown apartment complained about noise from a nearby bar.

Thursday, Sept. 5

2:35 a.m. Report of a physical disturbance on U.S. 93 South. Both the man and woman were arrested and charged with partner family member assault.

10:19 a.m. Police were warned about two suspicious women selling magazines door to door. One of the women was described as “a very bright young lady.”

1:41 p.m. Report of a young boy allegedly stealing items from homes on Colorado Avenue.

2:14 p.m. Report of an assault at an auto parts store on U.S. 93 South.

10 p.m. Report of wolves or dogs eating a deer carcass on U.S. 93 South.

3:07 a.m. An intoxicated woman was lying on the road near Edgewood Place. A man was helping her home.

Friday, Sept. 6

9:35 a.m. A man living in a fifth wheel reported finding a pawn ticket for his generator after a young woman living with him moved out. He collected the generator from the pawn shop but it cost him $180.

5:20 p.m. Report of a man riding a bicycle while carrying a rifle.

Saturday, Sept. 7

12:40 a.m. A woman was arrested on Central Avenue after reportedly attacking a customer and bartender.

3:09 a.m. A taxi driver reported an intoxicated man inside his van who didn’t know where he needed to go.

9:34 a.m. Report of a couple involved in a physical disturbance on Iowa Avenue.

6:24 p.m. The smell of marijuana was overwhelming at an apartment on Lupfer Avenue.

7:55 p.m. The cooler at a convenience store smelled strongly of marijuana.

1:08 a.m. A disorderly man attempted to rip down the door at a bar on Central Avenue.

Sunday, Sept. 8

8:25 a.m. A shotgun and pistol were reported stolen from a vehicle on West 7th Street.

8:57 a.m. Report of items stolen from a vehicle on Edgewood Place.

9:05 a.m. Report of items stolen from an unlocked vehicle on East 4th Street.

9:44 a.m. Subwoofers were stolen from a vehicle on Copperwood Court.

9:52 a.m. A woman found a shotgun shell in her driveway. She had heard shots the previous night.

12:13 p.m. Report of items stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Dakota Avenue.

3:16 p.m. A Sirius radio was stolen from a pickup on U.S. 93 South.

4:21 p.m. A tent was stolen on U.S. 93 South.

4:52 p.m. Report of a child left home alone on Wisconsin Avenue.

8:15 p.m. A man was found lying in a parking lot near East 7th Street. He was taken to the hospital.

9:34 p.m. A woman told police that she believed she and her friend were drugged on July 6 while at a bar downtown.

9:53 p.m. CDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Cedar Street.

11:52 p.m. Possible drug activity was reported at an apartment complex on Wisconsin Avenue.
