Giles was an avid gunsmith, and in his later years spent all of his spare time restoring guns and building guns for his friends and grandchildren.

He is survived by two children from his first marriage, Cleveland Breaux, of Kentucky, and Levicy Fox, of Arkansas; his mother, of Prunedale, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two stepchildren, Glen and Shannon; brother Paul Breaux; sister Valerie Breaux Hampton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

It was Giles’ request that there not be any memorial or funeral services. Cremation has taken place.
