Megan Marie Gaiser

It is with great sadness that the family announces the loss of our beloved Megan.

Megan lost her battle with cancer on Aug. 27, 2013, in Spokane, where she has lived for many years. She died in Spokane surrounded by her family at Hospice House, where she received compassionate care in a peaceful and lovely environment.

There will not be a formal service. By her request she will be cremated and her ashes are to be spread by her beloved Kenny Purcell over four of her favorite spots.

Megan is survived by Kenny Purcell, her daughters, Hailey and Ivy Gaiser, parents, Marie and Jerry Gaiser, and siblings, Bud, Heather and Monna and their families.

Megan was a Bigfork High School graduate. She attended University of Montana Western at Dillon, and graduated from Juneau University of Alaska with a teaching degree. She taught briefly and then moved several times before settling in Spokane where she has lived for many years. She loved the outdoors, snow skiing, fishing, spending time at the family cabin on Lake Thomas, sewing and knitting. The Gaiser family will have a celebration of Megan’s life at Heather’s when the whole family will be together for Thanksgiving.

Memorial donations in memory of Megan may be made to Hospice House of Spokane, Box 2215, Spokane, WA, 99210.
